A knife wielding man at a refugee center in Hamburg, Germany kept a pregnant woman hostage and barricaded himself in the building Tuesday morning.
The man is reportedly a refugee himself, and the woman is believed to be his partner. Armed officials entered the building with police dogs and overpowered the man.
The knife-wielding refugee was overpowered by police and taken into custody.
The pregnant woman was later escorted out and the refugee male was taken out in a wheelchair, the Daily Express reports.
He was later taken to the hospital for injuries that were likely self-afflicted.
