Bernie Sanders has wasted his life on a bunch of ideas that have never worked and never will. Who better to lecture everybody else about how they voted on Nov. 8?
Here’s the old crank, writing at Medium:
We face a very serious political problem in this country, and that problem is manifested in a post written yesterday by Amber Phillips of The Washington Post. In her piece, Phillips criticizes me for lowering the state of our political discourse, because I accused the president of being a “liar.”
What should a United States senator, or any citizen, do if the president is a liar? Does ignoring this reality benefit the American people? Do we make a bad situation worse by disrespecting the president of the United States? Or do we have an obligation to say that he is a liar to protect America’s standing in the world and people’s trust in our institutions?
I dunno, Bernie. What did you do when it happened between 2009-2016?
Yeah, Trump is a liar. I’m not sure if he’s a bigger liar than Obama, but he’s in the same league. When he lies, he should be called out for it. But I’m already tired of these guys acting like this is a sudden change. I’m tired of them pretending they didn’t enable the Democrats’ lies for eight years because they thought it would get them what they wanted.
“If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.”
If Trump ever tops that lie, let me know. In the meantime, Obama still wears the crown. He is the Lyin’ King.
