The initial reports about Richard Rojas, the driver who mowed down all those people in Times Square yesterday, indicated that he may have been drunk or fleeing a robbery or both. I got the impression that he might not have intended to hurt or kill people. But after watching this video, it sure as hell looks deliberate to me.

He was just going along in traffic like everybody else, until he suddenly turned back onto the sidewalk and accelerated. He headed straight for those people. He’s being charged with second-degree murder, but that sure looks premeditated to me.
Bring back the death penalty, New York. If this guy doesn’t deserve it, then there’s no point in having a justice system at all.
