Former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. is planning to create a political action committee, the most concrete sign yet that he intends to remain active in the Democratic Party and is considering a presidential bid in 2020.
The “American Possibilities” PAC, which Mr. Biden intends to unveil on Thursday, will offer the former vice president a platform he can use to nurture relationships with donors, travel on behalf of the party and contribute to candidates in the two governor’s races in November and in next year’s midterm elections.
He’s already been making noises about how he would’ve been a better presidential candidate than Hillary Clinton. Which is true of pretty much everybody on earth, including Donald J. Trump of all people, but still. Joe’s doing and saying all the things that people do and say when they start planning to run for president.
I sure hope so. He’s a bonehead and a gaffe machine, but I can never stay mad at him for long. He’ll only be 78 years young on Nov. 3, 2020, and thanks to Obamacare, medical science will soon be able to build him a robot body so he can rule us forever.
