The Miami Dolphins considered Tim Tebow, who currently plays for the New York Mets minor league team, for their quarterback position before Jay Cutler. Cutler agreed to a one-year, $10 million deal with the Dolphins.

A few other players were considered before the Dolphins came to their decision, including free agent Colin Kaepernick. Tim Tebow has not played in the NFL since 2012, but was still a substitution the Dolphins were considering after Ryan Tanehill went down with a knee injury during practice, according to foxnews.com.

Tebow played three years in the NFL with the Denver Broncos and New York Jets. He then decided to try his hand at baseball and is doing well. We will have to wait and see if he makes it to the majors.

Cutler was set to be a part of the FOX Sports broadcasting team before the Dolphins gave him a call about playing for them. He will still have to compete for the starting spot against Matt Moore, according to foxnews.com.
