Another controversial music video focused on Donald Trump depicts the president as Hitler and features a variety of other disturbing images involving both Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
The politically influenced rock/rap group Prophets of Rage, made up of members from Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy and Cyprus Hill released the video on Wednesday. The song called “Hail To The Chief” takes clear aim at Trump, but seems even more pointed at Pence judging by the lyrics and video.
“Hovering over. Looking over the shoulder. Suspense suspect. Who got next game. Hanging us by the necks. Hold onto your purses and wallets. By George, he’s the new Wallace. Show no shame, no malice. Wondering who’s this new Alice,” band member Chuck D raps as graphics depict hangings in front of a White House with “Trump Tower” written across the font of it.
“Mother F**ker didn’t even run. Hero, here he come,” the song goes before launching into the chorus: “All hail to the chief who came in the name of a thief to cease peace.”
The Prophets of Rage formed in May of 2016 and have been outspoken against Trump ever since.
