“We are also praying for the people of Puerto Rico. We love Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico,” he said, affecting his pronunciation of the name of the U.S. territory.

A woman in the crowd responded, “President Trump, we love you!”

Trump then repeated what he said with no accent, “And we also love Puerto Rico.”

Trump spoke Friday to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, saying, “Today we’re grateful to have more than a quarter of a million Hispanic-Americans serving in our military. We salute all of those who defend our nation and who defend our way of life. Each of you here today represents a vital part of the fabric of this nation and the nation that I love and that you love.” (RELATED: WATCH: Trump Interrupts Speech To Shake Medal Of Honor Recipient’s Hand)
