James Van Der Beek applauded everyone who has come forward with allegations against Harvey Weinstein and even admitted that he was sexually harassed when he was younger.
It became clear from a series of tweets by the “Dawson’s Creek” star early Thursday morning that the subject was personal for him.
“What Weinstein is being accused of is criminal. What he’s admitted to is unacceptable – in any industry. I applaud everyone speaking out,” he began. “I’ve had my a** grabbed by older, powerful men, I’ve had them corner me in inappropriate sexual conversations when I was much younger…”

Van Der Beek is best known for his leading role as Dawson Leery on “Dawson’s Creek.” He did not name any specific people who committed sexual harassment against him, nor did he connect it to the hit television series.
