Former Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz thinks his team got shafted from winning three different college football championships.
ESPN reporter Darren Rovell tweeted a photo of a Notre Dame helmet Holtz had signed with the message, “1988 National Champions…Screwed in 89, 90 & 93.”

This a hilarious way to sign a helmet. Most coaches don’t openly talked about getting “screwed” out of national championships, but not Holtz.
He apparently wants people to know that the Irish got a raw deal in three different seasons. Personally, I appreciate his honesty. Coaches are taught to never really speak about their true feelings. They just go to the podium and do their best to recite a script whenever things go poorly.
Also, I’m not sure how the legendary Notre Dame coach and the Irish got screwed out of a national championship in 1990. A quick Google search revealed they lost three games that year. You’d need SEC levels of delusion to believe a three loss team is deserving of a title.
