People who openly hate football should never be trusted.
Football is one of the things that holds America together. We turn on a television, and see nonstop bickering, chaos, ridiculous politics and so much more. It’s exhausting.
It’s one of the reasons why football is so important. It brings people from different backgrounds together for a couple hours every weekend during the winter and fall. Nobody is asking your thoughts on Russian interference with our election when the tailback gets to the edge on his way to ripping off an 80 yard touchdown run.
My Saturday routine is pretty set in stone at this point. Wake up, shower, grab some groceries, fire up the tv, cook myself some buffalo wings, grab a beer and put on whatever game can be found. You know how much I care about politics or anything else in that period? Absolutely not at all. I don’t care if Trump got impeached during a Wisconsin football game. Unless he’s putting pads on and getting on that field it’s not something I’m concerned with.
This is why people who don’t like football are very suspicious to me. It makes no sense. It’s like the guy who shows up to the party that nobody has ever seen before, but he swears he’s not a cop. If you have to convince me you’re not a cop, I have some serious questions for you. Same goes for people who openly hate football.
You know who else almost certainly hates football? North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. Not exactly the kind of guy you want to be compared to.
The first beer is on me if you show up to my tailgate, and start ranting about how the coach can’t successfully manage the clock. Show up and don’t know what play-action is? Well, I’ve got some questions for you.
