The Green Bay Packers need to do the right thing, and give their former quarterback Brett Favre a call.
Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone against the Minnesota Vikings. It was unclear how bad the injury was, but we now know he needs surgery.
McCarthy on QB Aaron Rodgers’ injury: It will require surgery. Potentially his season will be over. Focus is on getting Aaron healthy.

Forget all this nonsense talk about Colin Kaepernick. Throw that conversation in the trash. Pick up the phone, and give my guy Brett Favre a contract right now.
I grew up hating the Packers. It was torture watching Favre and the Packers routinely stomp all over everyone, but I’m a huge fan of the old gunslinger. I think there is a very high chance Favre never even knew he ever played professional football. It’s just as likely that he thought he was routinely playing Sunday afternoon football with a group of guys just for the hell of it.
The man is a legend in the state of Wisconsin. He could run for governor, and win in a landslide. I don’t care if he’s old, I don’t care if he hasn’t played football in several years and I don’t care about any other critiques they might have about him off the field.
A rocket arm like that doesn’t go away. Ink Favre to a deal and watch the sports universe explode. It’s what everybody wants.
