Vice President Mike Pence is praising the White House’s work on the world stage, asserting on Tuesday that “America is leading again.”

Pence said on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show that the administration has been successful in uniting U.S. allies against North Korea, in driving ISIS out of the Middle East, and in making NATO a more effective defense tool.

“I met yesterday in this room with the deputy prime minister of Japan as we’re moving forward on an economic dialogue,” Pence said. “But we also talked about the fact that with Japan, with South Korea, and even with China, we’re isolating that rogue regime in North Korea, economically and diplomatically, in ways that they’ve never been isolated before, more pressure being brought to bear.”

“You know, America is standing tall in the world once again,” he continued. “And I mean, the progress that we have made, and you’re a great expert on foreign policy, Hugh, the progress that we’ve made on the world stage, I think, is tantamount to nothing short of we once again have a president who stands without apology as leader of the free world.”

Pence reiterated the idea that “America first does not mean America alone” and declared that “America is leading again.”
