Justin Timberlake will headline the Super Bowl LII Halftime Show on February 4, 2018, more than a decade after he performed alongside Janet Jackson at the big game during her “wardrobe malfunction.”

“This will be JT’s third time performing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, giving him the distinction of having the most appearances by an individual entertainer. He previously performed at Super Bowls XXXV and XXXVII, ” a statement on the 36-year-old singer’s website confirmed Sunday. (RELATED: 66 Percent Of Trump Voters Change The Channel When Awards Shows Get Too Political)

“The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show is the most-watched musical event of the year,” a statement from NFL communications read. “Last year’s show was the most-watched musical event of all-time across all platforms and the most-watched Super Bowl Halftime performance in history through broadcast and digital channels, reaching more than 150 million unique people, garnering more than 80 million views and totaling 260 million minutes watched.”

The last time the “Sexy Back” singer was on football’s biggest stage was 13 years ago, when he performed alongside Janet Jackson in 2004 where he ripped off part of her outfit at the end of “Rock Your Body,” exposing her nipple in what Jackson later termed a “wardrobe malfunction.”

The incident lead to changes in live coverage of sporting events, with the Federal Communications Commission implementing a five-second delay to live broadcasts.

Timberlake will perform during halftime when Minneapolis hosts the championship game next February at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota.
