Florida football coach Jim McElwain claimed Monday that his family has received death threats due to the team struggling on the field.
Details on the threats weren’t revealed, but McElwain revealed the news during a routine press conference.

I love football, and the fans that come with it. There’s no excuse for death threats over a sport. Absolutely no excuse. I don’t care if your team never wins a game. You don’t threaten a man’s family over a game played all over this country on Saturdays.
Hopefully they find the people responsible for these threats, and justice is served. Football fans can’t tolerate any of this garbage.
