The Washington Post appears to be spinning a fake scandal involving Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and her visits to private schools.
WaPo reported ominously on Friday that a quarter of the schools DeVos has visited are private, and implies that her “focus” on private schools is concerning because “neither DeVos nor the Education Department have much say in what happens in the nation’s private and religious schools.”

The report makes it seem that Devos is visiting an ungodly amount of private schools, and it notes that such schools only educate about 10 percent of American children.
DeVos has visited 37 K-12 schools, about 1/4th of them private or religious, which educate 1/10th of American kids https://t.co/9T3G7NVejo

What the report doesn’t mention is that private schools account for 25 percent of all U.S. schools. DeVos’ time spent in private schools is equal to the percentage of private schools in the country.
