Former Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is apparently pretty happy about being traded to the San Francisco 49ers.
Major QB shakeup: 49ers trading 2018 2nd-round draft pick to New England for Patriots’ QB Jimmy Garoppolo, sources tell ESPN.

Garoppolo was drafted by the Pats in 2014 and was thought to be a hopeful future QB. But with most New England fans confident that Brady has at least a few more seasons in him, Garoppolo was reportedly growing antsy fast.
The former Patriots backup is reportedly pretty pumped about the trade. According to a source, he’s “Ready to roll. Can’t get on a plane fast enough. He’s waited for this for a long time.”
A mid-season trade is definitely gutsy, but if anybody needs to be taking chances right now it’s San Francisco. With the worst record in the league (0-8), they’ve gotta be feeling the pressure to change something up.
A few franchises were rumored to be eyeing Garoppolo for a variety of reasons but it was ultimately the 49ers – a day before the trade deadline – that decided to trade the QB for a second round draft pick in 2018.
Patriots fans also had jokes about the situation.
Jimmy Garoppolo woke up 6-2 this morning and will go to sleep 0-8. Life comes at you fast.

With the trade of Jimmy Garoppolo & how well Tom Brady is playing at the age of 40, I can confirm this picture is 100% accurate. pic.twitter.com/0WLNQaGIFr
