Jeffrey Tambor Denies Sexual Harassment Claims From Transgender Woman

Jeffrey Tambor is under investigation by Amazon Studios after the actor’s former assistant, Van Barnes, made allegations of inappropriate behavior in a private Facebook post earlier in the week.

Amazon is looking into the claims having already dealt with harassment claims against former studio head Roy Price, but the “Arrested Development” star is denying the claims coming from the transgender woman.

“I am aware that a former disgruntled assistant of mine has made a private post implying that I had acted in an improper manner toward her,” Tambor told Deadline Hollywood on Wednesday.

“I adamantly and vehemently reject and deny any and all implication and allegation that I have ever engaged in any improper behavior toward this person or any other person I have ever worked with,” he added. “I am appalled and distressed by this baseless allegation.”

Barnes worked for Tambor on Amazon Studio’s “Transparent,”appeared in the Amazon documentary anthology miniseries “This Is Me” and E!’s “I am Cait” with Caitlyn Jenner.
