The liberal women on “The View” tried to pivot the conversation to President Donald Trump while discussing accusations of sexual assault against Democratic Sen. Al Franken.

WATCH:

News anchor Leeann Tweeden accused Sen. Franken of forcibly kissing her during a USO entertainment tour in 2006, and shared a photo that shows Franken groping her breasts while she was sleeping.

“I certainly don’t remember the rehearsal for the skit in the same way, but I send my sincerest apologies to Leeann,” Sen. Franken said in a statement. “As to the photo, it was clearly intended to be funny but wasn’t. I shouldn’t have done it.”

The women of “The View” gave Franken credit for apologizing and then Joy Behar tried to switch the conversation to talk about Trump.

“What about Trump, his people are saying that those women who accused him are liars!” Behar exclaimed.

Conservative panelist Meghan McCain responded, “oh my god, this isn’t about Trump right now though,” clearly fed up with Behar’s insistence on making every conversation about the president.

“This is serious. I know her. And when you’re saying ‘what about Trump, what about Trump,’ this is about Leeann!” McCain said exasperatedly. “This is an epidemic…bipartisan, across party lines.”

Sunny Hostin chimed in to save Behar, stating, “I think Joy’s point is that we’ve talked about, you know, do politicians get a pass. You know, we heard the Hollywood Access tape and his accusers, 16 of them.”
