Roland Martin appeared on MSNBC Friday, saying that President Trump is pushing “little buttons” for his “largely white base” by tweeting about the NFL.

WATCH:

Martin, appearing on “MSNBC Live,” told host Ali Velshi, “[Trump] wants to be Mr. Law and Order, but he doesn’t want to deal with the real-life issues these players are talking about. So, what he’s doing, he’s pushing his little buttons for his largely white supporters in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and in, of course, Michigan, Ohio, saying, ‘Look at these ungrateful black players out there making all of that money.'” (RELATED: MSNBC Guest: ‘White Evangelicals Do Not Care’ About Roy Moore News [VIDEO])

Martin also used the appearance to crack a joke about Trump playing golf with Tiger Woods, saying, “This man has done nothing but try to sell as much as he can. Maybe because he’s playing with Tiger Woods, he might as well call it ‘Black Friday.'”
