I Need Amazon To End Its Deal On Echo Dots Or I Am Going To Go Broke

On Black Friday, Amazon discounted its Echo Dot by 40 percent, allowing shoppers to get them for a mere $30. Considering the Echo Dot does everything the Echo does (except with a worse speaker), and the Echo retails for $100, that is an absolute steal. Al you have to do is plug an Echo Dot into a speaker you have lying around (or connect it via bluetooth to a portable speaker) and you have your own makeshift Echo for 1/3rd the price.

Now, unfortunately, we have a problem. Or at least I have a problem. Over a week after Black Friday, and the Echo Dot is still on sale for just $30. And you know what? I can’t stop buying them. That price is just SO low. First I bought another one so I could have one in my bedroom. Then I wanted one for the basement, and for my bathroom. Everyday, I order more…I have so many in my house now that I think everyone I know is getting an Echo Dot for Christmas.

Echo Dot (2nd Generation), Black on sale for $29.99

I first got an Echo Dot when my roommate moved out and took is Amazon Echo with him. At that point the Echo Dot cost $50, but it still was less expensive than the Echo. And it has since satisfied all our Alexa needs.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday may be over, but the holiday shopping season has truly just begun. Amazon is currently running a “12 Days of Deals” promotion, and the Daily Dealer continues to feature the best offers from around the Internet. And don’t miss our 2017 Christmas gift guide, which we will continue to update throughout the season.
