Tennessee football is in serious trouble, and a tweet from Darren Rovell is all the proof you’ll ever need.
Rovell tweeted Tuesday, “Hours it took for UCF to hire a head coach: 68. Running clock on Tennessee: 545 hours.”

Ouch. That’s got to sting. Not a great look when a team outside of the Power Five seems to have a better idea of what’s going on than an SEC team.
This stuff down in Knoxville is honestly mind-blowing to me. Tennessee has so much money at it’s disposal, and they can’t even hire a coach. Don’t get me wrong, it’s entertaining as all hell. I hope they can’t hire a coach through the entire offseason. That sounds like it’d be nearly impossible, but at this point literally anything is possible for the Volunteers.
Also those Gruden rumors seem like they took place in a different lifetime. That was really fun for a couple weeks.
