There Is No Quality College Football This Weekend – It’s A Dark Time In America

This upcoming weekend is the first weekend since the season started where we have absolutely no good games.

Army plays Navy this weekend. I understand the history behind the game, I respect what it represents but it’s not exactly big boy football.

I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do. There is a very good chance the only things that keep me alive are Mountain Dew, beer and knowing there is college football coming up. What will happen when we remove one third of the equation? It seems like a very dangerous game to be playing. Dangerous indeed.

This is America. We’re about big things. It’s why we have football, basketball, we import the hottest models, create the best movies, own tons of guns and don’t give a damn what the rest of the world thinks.

I’m just worried we’re going to lose a bit of that edge this weekend. How can I remind Canada they’re awful if I can’t simply point at my television screen to show them a football game? It’s a scary concept.

Hold your families close, tell your friends you love them and prepare for the worst. We’re entering uncharted territory. Anything is possible when we don’t have football.

Hopefully we’re capable of pulling through until the bowl games.
