Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Carson Wentz suffered a brutal knee injury Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
Wentz dived forward and was clipped by two defenders. He was clearly in a ton of pain and left the game.
Erin Andrews reported that the training staff left the medical room “shaking their heads.” Wentz was quickly replaced by backup Nick Foles.
@ProFootballDoc Any idea what this injury could possibly be on Carson Wentz, Doc? Resulted in him leaving the game. pic.twitter.com/8E5fYik0XP

I’m a huge Carson Wentz guy. I’ve been big on him ever since his days at North Dakota State University. No matter who it is, it’s always tough to watch a guy get hurt.
It’s much tougher though when it’s a guy like Wentz. He represents everything we love about football and now he’s sidelined with an unknown injury. Just brutal.
Hopefully he isn’t out very long because the NFL is much better when he’s playing.
