Anthony Scaramucci was spotted in New York City meeting with Dr. Phil this week, according to Page Six.
In true Mooch form, first he was spotted allegedly arguing with another finance guy at the very public Polo Bar in uptown Manhattan. Then, Dr. Phil entered the joint and looked to be trying calm the Mooch down. A source says the popular TV host “spent 45 minutes with his arm around Scaramucci appearing to try and comfort him over something.”
And so the rumor mill began about the potential of his own show, as pointed out by Page Six. It’s been speculated that the Mooch is looking to get into showbiz, and possibly wants to host his own television show. Which would explain why he was spotted meeting with Dr. Phil in an upscale NYC bar.
His rep clarified the ‘argument’ scene, which only leads to further speculation about a future Mooch show.
His rep said Scaramucci was “joshing with Gary Kaminsky, one of his friends for 30-plus years and co-host on ‘Wall Street Week.’ Nothing but love and friendship. No tension. Their easy jocular manner was clearly misinterpreted by someone who didn’t know their relationship.”
Besides, Gary Kaminksy doesn’t look like the kind of guy you’d want to get in a fight with. He’s in the middle here:

And as for Dr. Phil? “Phil McGraw and Anthony are friends . . . Phil was going to be in New York and invited Anthony to dinner. It was camaraderie and respect . . . not comforting,” he clarified.
So the plot thickens. A TV gig wouldn’t be too foreign for the Mooch. He shook things up as a guest host on TMZ this summer and made his rounds on The View earlier this fall. He also recently appeared as a guest on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”
And what good is making a go at showbiz unless you’ve got a partner in crime? The Mooch is reportedly mending ways with his estranged wife Deidre Ball and called off the divorce.
A Scaramucci TV show is something America needs right now. It’s something we could all rally behind and agree on, no matter what the political climate is.
