The Detroit Lions have fired head coach Jim Caldwell, according to multiple reports.

Well, I understand why this move was made, but I might be one of the few Lions fans on the planet who didn’t want to see Caldwell go just yet. The Lions have historically been terrible, and he took them to the playoffs twice in the past four years.
Is that great? No it’s not, but it’s certainly much better than what we’re used to in Detroit.
Hopefully management is able to find a coach that can make the playoffs every year. Apparently the message has been sent that anything less will result in losing your job. It’s high stakes, but I can live with it if the Lions get the results I want.
