Another NBA player is venturing into showbiz, and this one looks like a doozy.

Blake Griffin of the LA Clippers will costar in the upcoming romantic comedy called “The Female Brain,” which is essentially about the differences between the male and female brain with a little bit of romance mixed in.

Needless to say it looks downright horrendous.

Now listen. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m extremely picky about movies. So it should go without saying that I pretty much dislike every romantic comedy with an overt feminist agenda. But some NBA players have absolutely nailed the whole acting thing. LeBron’s little cameo in “Train Wreck” was entertaining. I don’t care how old you are, pretty much everyone can agree that “Space Jam” was iconic.

But “The Female Brain” is where I draw the line. Blake Griffin has so much potential and there’s absolutely zero reason he should stoop to the level of some B-level chick flick. Maybe Kris Jenner encouraged him to do it for buzz. Or maybe he’s just not thinking straight after that nasty concussion.

It really doesn’t matter what his reasoning is. No good NBA player should stoop to this level – at least not yet. Blake is 28. He’s got his life ahead of him. If he wants to get into acting, he should hold out for a sweet cameo in the next Bond movie or ask LeBron to give him a part in the upcoming blockbuster “Smallfoot” (which looks electric). Everything below that is really just an invitation for jokes in the locker room.
