Paige Spiranac destroyed a Twitter troll in outstanding fashion Tuesday morning.
Yesterday, I wrote how it’s complete trash that Spiranac has to deal with death threats and harassment just because she’s a golfer who is also an attractive woman.
I wrote in part:
This is absolutely unacceptable. I don’t care if you’re a fan of a certain athlete or if you hate that person. There is never a reason to ever send anybody a death threat, and people who do deserve lots of prison time. Spiranac has been a target of some people because her Instagram every once in awhile has a revealing photo. I don’t understand why what she posts on Instagram would ever be acceptable to use as justification to harass her or send death threats.
Soon afterwards I fired off a tweet with the article, and that drew out a troll who suggested that Spiranac should be arrested for the way she dressed while she was abroad.
Well, she was in Dubai. She’s probably lucky she didn’t get arrested. Don’t be so gullible, of course she’s gotten where she is because of her attention seeking behavior pic.twitter.com/oTxXFMTzua

Well, Spiranac came off the top rope to absolutely wreck the troll when she responded with, “The interview was taken place in Dubai while I was there, not for the clothes I was wearing while there. I was speaking about the harassment I face everyday online. No one deserves to be harassed or sent death threats.”

How absurd and crazy is it that we’re even having this conversation right now? Are we now at a point in society where people are really trying to justify death threats and harassment against a woman because she dresses a certain way and plays golf? That’s not the world I want to live in, and I don’t want people who hold those views anywhere near me.
Spiranac is stunning and she’s a hell of a golfer. There’s nothing wrong with that, and nobody should be taking shots at her or any other woman. Of course, everybody gets keyboard courage. We all know there’s next to no chance anybody would say something in person. They’d probably just beg for a picture.
It’s frustrating that I even have to write this article, but I guess I do. I don’t care if a woman golfs in a bikini or naked. Neither is an excuse to harass them. If you disagree with that, then you’re a moron too dumb to be consuming this kind of content. Until next time, I’ll leave you with the same thoughts I left Paige.
Couldn’t agree more. Keep fighting the good fight. Absolutely absurd to ever try to justify somebody being sent death threats.
