Nobody, and I mean nobody, has been harsher on the men’s Olympic hockey team than I have been in the past few days.
Their losses to Slovenia and Russia were completely unacceptable. It was embarrassing watching Russia skate all over us. I wanted to throw my television in the trash because it was such a disappointing display of hockey.
Well, the tides sure are changing. We’re charging through the medal round. Slovakia is going home, and we’re about to plow through the Czechs. Pray for the Czech Republic because they have no idea what is about to hit them.
Herb Brooks must be looking down from hockey heaven right now smiling ear to ear. What a beautiful day to be an American.
Now, let’s go put a beatdown on somebody else.
