Actor Mark Hamill celebrated the news that he was finally getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by taking a dig at President Donald Trump.
“Can’t say this is a dream come true because I was never foolish enough to think something like this could ever happen,” Hamill tweeted Thursday.
Hamill is best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars.”
“When part of me doubts I deserve such an honor, I remind myself that someone got a ‘Star’ for just one crappy reality show. #BeyondGr8ful,” he added, referencing Trump.

A short time later, he took a subtle dig at his co-star in the franchise, Harrison Ford, who has had a star on the walk for more than a decade.
FUN FACT: In 1976, when Harrison Ford told me he already had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, I laughed & thought he was joking. He wasn’t. Broadway & silent film star Harrison Ford had one for decades before #StarWars#HarrisonsAlwaysRight pic.twitter.com/fu3bcvK8Y1

The actor will be recognized at a ceremony on March 8 where he will join with the long list of legendary actors on the famous strip, according to Variety. His star will mark the 2,630th star of the boulevard. Ford and “Star Wars” creator George Lucas will emcee the event.
“‘Star Wars’ fans will be over the moon that hearing their idol Mark Hamill is going to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We are proud to add this extraordinary actor on our historic Walk of Fame,” Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, said in a statement.
