Pence’s declaration came during a wide-ranging speech outlining the administration’s accomplishments.

“President Trump promised to enforce our laws, secure our borders, and today illegal crossings at our southern border have been cut nearly in half and make no mistake about it, we’re going to build that wall,” Pence declared to loud chants of “build that wall” from the audience.

“He promised to appoint strong conservatives to the federal courts at every level and President Trump came through,” he continued. “He appointed justice Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court and set a record for the most circuit court judges appointed in the first year of any administration in history.”

“I was honored to cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate to send a bill to the president’s desk to allow states to defund planned Parenthood.”
