David Hogg has become one of the most recognizable faces of the Parkland school shooting but his fame has turned into a dangerous situation for his family.
His family claims both he and his mother have received numerous alarming death threats from individuals both in and outside the country. So his mother, Rebecca Boldrick, contacted the FBI after she got a disturbing message on Facebook telling her she should have had an abortion, according to TMZ.
“You should have had an abortion,” one user wrote. “Your son is a psychopathic douche bag. Drive the whole family over a cliff,,,just admit failure.”
Another user threatened her, saying, “You can change your settings, but you can never change your face, your whole family is exposed because of your piece of sh*t kid, btw his whole plan has backfired on him, im sure his birthday celebration will be an interesting event F*ck you and him God Bless the NRA and the right to bear arms, wrong crowd to f*ck with idiotsticks.”
TMZ also reports that Boldrick contacted Facebook and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police since some of these particularly scathing threats allegedly came from a user in Canada. The FBI has not commented on the matter beyond confirming that it was contacted by Hogg’s family.
