Joy Behar attacked President Donald Trump Wednesday when she said that adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels “has more credibility” than the president.
The comment came during a panel discussion on The View about conservative commentator S.E. Cupp’s article telling Melania Trump to leave the president over the alleged affair.
Sunny Hostin argued that this isn’t about the first lady, but the fact that Trump is “lacking basic moral values.”
Former White House Communications director Anthony Scaramucci, who was guest hosting, told the ladies that, in his opinion, peopled should stay out of other people’s lives and that’s when Behar claimed that this wasn’t about Trump’s personal life.
“The question is should she leave,” Scaramucci explained. “My personal opinion, people should stay out of other people’s personal lives. That’s my opinion. My family’s model is let’s put the fun back in the world dysfunction.”
“This is not about his personal life,” Behar snapped back. “What we are talking about here is that a porn star has more credibility than the United States of American president. This is something else. Melania is in the middle of this.”
“President Carter just said Americans want a president with basic moral values including loyalty to his own wife,” Hostin interjected. “President Carter says that he thinks this scandal will carry into the polls because people feel sorry for Melania but more importantly because they are looking at the president’s behavior, and that’s where I think the onus is. Why are we even talking about Melania being scorned? This is about her husband.”
“My point is simply this, you know, we don’t know what’s going on with them but she makes a balance –and she [Cupp] tries to make a point between Hillary [Clinton] and Melania,” Whoopi Goldberg explained. “And I say you can’t do that because it’s two different things. So, we will see what happens, but I’m sure this is not going away. But you know, Melania knows what’s up.”
