Elle Macpherson turned another year older on Thursday. In honor of her day, we took a look back and found some of her greatest moments on the red carpet.
The 54-year-old Australian beauty was one of the original super models back in the 1980s alongside other greats like Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell. Her break out opportunity came when she graced the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in 1986 where she blew everyone away. In fact, she currently holds the record for appearing on the cover of the annual swimsuit issue more than any other super model a total of five times, in 1986, 1987, 1988, 1994 and then once more in 2006.

In 2013, she proved she still has what it takes when she stripped down and posed nude for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Australia, as she recreated her iconic May 1994 Playboy magazine cover shot dressed in nothing except black thigh high stockings.
