Loyola Ramblers superfan Sister Jean believes that God is a much bigger fan of college basketball than the pros.
“These young players play with their heart and not for financial gain,” Sister Jean said when explaining why God loves college basketball over the NBA, according to KCTV5 reporter Tom Martin.

God likes the NCAA more than the NBA because “these young players play with their heart and not for financial gain.”

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, God loves college ball more than the NBA because they’re not playing for future financial gain. Never in the history of basketball has a player ever once played in hopes of getting rich down the road. That simply just doesn’t happen in college.

In all seriousness, I actually understand what she’s saying here. I actually was talking about the same thing with my dad the other day. There are lots of college players who are smart enough to recognize that they’re never going to the NBA.
March Madness is the height of their basketball careers. They might go play in Europe to make some money, but there’s next to no glory in that. It’s all about what you do in March and the first week of April. That’s were these young men will cement their legacies.
I can’t confirm the God part, but I can confirm that college players care a lot about March Madness. More than normal civilians will ever realize.
