Two people were killed after their homemade plane crashed into a shed in Santa Paula, Calif., Saturday, according to police officials.
Despite clear skies and weather, the home-built two seater plane went down and crashed into a shed, killing the two inside immediately Saturday afternoon. Firefighters and police rushed to the scene but found the two unidentified males dead, Fox News reported.

The plane reportedly caught fire right after it hit the shed and happened less than a mile away from the Santa Paula Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the crash.

Ian Gregor, spokesman for the FAA confirmed to Fox News that the RV-6A aircraft was homemade.
