President Trump spoke to families and business owners who have benefited from the Republican tax cuts at a Thursday afternoon roundtable in West Virginia.

Regular West Virginians were joined onstage by business owners and politicians. There were many interesting moments in the event, such as one business owner taking a direct shot at House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Terry Dodson is the CEO of an air ventilation company. Dodson explained how he was able to give his workers bonuses and raises based on the GOP tax cuts. Dodson said he employs over 200 people and has a $6 million payroll. He commented on how he is now building new facilities and has sold out his entire inventory for the year.

Then, Dodson took a shot at Pelosi. Dodson said that the tax cuts are not “crumbs” and his employees know that.

“You’ve made a huge difference. Tax cuts have made a difference, and I can tell you our people know that your tax cuts have made a difference. I can tell that you it’s not crumbs to them when they can pay car payments and invest in their children’s future. It’s extremely important that the money stays and turns over in the communities. You’re a businessman, you know that.”

Some Democrat leaders have regularly disparaged the tax cuts for not being big enough.

Pelosi has often called the tax cuts “crumbs.”
