Attorney General Jeff Sessions revealed he had not spoken Tuesday with President Donald Trump after a public scolding, but appeared cheerful coming from a celebration of the University of Alabama’s national football championship.

Sessions was asked pointedly “Mr. Attorney General, have you spoken to the president today?” He replied, “Hey, not today, roll tide.”

The attorney general received a public tongue lashing from the president Monday evening after reports indicated that Trump’s own personal attorney’s office and hotel room was raided by the FBI.

The FBI raid followed a referral from special counsel Robert Mueller to the U.S. Attorney of the Southern District of New York. Reports indicate the raid focused on possible bank fraud by Cohen.

“The Attorney General made a terrible mistake when he recused himself,” Trump said, raising again his dissatisfaction with Sessions for recusing himself from matters relating to the Russia investigation.
