Johnny Manziel showed the same brilliance that won him the Heisman Trophy in his Spring League finale Thursday night.
The electric dual-threat quarterback rushed for two touchdowns and connected on a 50-yard bomb off of a scramble.

He spoke after the game about how happy he is to just be back playing ball again.

I don’t know how anybody could watch those videos and not think Manziel still has a ton of juice left in the tank. That 50-yard pass was incredible. He threw a dime under pressure. His scrambling abilities had me thinking it was 2012 and not 2018.
I’m also very impressed with his postgame comments. You can just see it in his face that he’s enjoying himself and truly happy to be back throwing the football around.
Now, we hold in a waiting pattern to see what happens next. He has about a month before he will go to Canada if he doesn’t get an NFL offer. I’d be shocked if there’s not a team that doesn’t at least give him a shot in camp after the highlights I just watched. The man still has it. Just wait to see what he’s like after he shakes all the rust off. It’s scary to consider the possibilities.
