President Donald Trump cheered on the win of Republican Debbie Lesko in an Arizona House of Representatives special election, in a Wednesday tweet.
Congratulations to Republican Debbie Lesko on her big win in the Special Election for Arizona House seat. Debbie will do a Great Job! Press is so silent.

The president also lamented the diminished press coverage of the special election win. Lesko won the seat by a margin of nearly six points though some election analysts have noted that the margin is not something to celebrate.
“The outcome represented a 20-point swing toward Democrats relative to the district’s FiveThirtyEight partisan lean, which is derived from how the it voted for president in 2016 and 2012 relative to the country,” FiveThirtyEight editor-in-chief Nate Silver wrote Wednesday.
One note on Debbie Lesko’s alleged “big win”:
Trump won Lesko’s district by 21-points in 2016.

However, Trump did not campaign for Lesko as he did in past house special elections.
