Kanye West revealed Tuesday that he got addicted to opioids after having liposuction surgery because he didn’t want the media to call him fat.
“I was on opioids …two days after I got off of opioids.. I was addicted to opioids. Two days after I got off opioids I am in the hospital [for the breakdown],” the 40-year-old rapper shared during his appearance on TMZ Live.

“I had plastic surgery because I was trying to look good for you all,” he added. “I got liposuction because I didn’t want you all to call me fat like you all called Rob [Kardashian] at the wedding and made him fly home before me and Kim got married.”
“And they gave me opioids and I started taking two of them and then driving to work on the opioids,” he continued. He claimed that when he was on tour in November 2016 one of his crew members told him the pills were “used to kill genius” so he stopped taking them.
“I was taking two pills a day at that time,” West explained. “When I left the hospital…how many pills do you think I was given…seven. I went from taking two pills to taking seven.”
“So, the reason why I dropped those tweets and everything is I was drugged the fuck out bro,” he added. “We are drugged out. We are following other people’s opinions. We are controlled by the media and today it all changes.”
