None of the nine Democrats running for U.S. Congress in New Hampshire has confirmed that they support House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, WMUR 9 News reported Monday.

The Democrats in New Hampshire fighting for Democratic Rep. Carol Shea-Porter’s seat, who announced she would be retiring in October, have all been asked if they would support Pelosi as House Speaker if elected to Congress. Of the nine, three said it’s time for new leadership, five declined to be specific, and one candidate didn’t respond. However, none of the candidates have said they would support Pelosi, according to WMUR 9.

The news comes after WMUR 9 asked all of the candidates in the 1st Congressional District if they would support Pelosi. Candidates Deaglan McEachern, Terence O’Rourke and Mindi Messmer all told WMUR 9 that Pelosi’s time as the leader of the party is over.

Pelosi announced in a May 1 interview that she would be seeking the speakership if the Democrats take control of the House.

“We will win,” Pelosi told The Boston Globe. “I will run for speaker. I feel confident about it. And my members do, too.”

Several Democrats in Congress have called for new leadership within the Democratic Party.
