Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino took aim at former CIA Director John Brennan Monday, claiming that Brennan was “panicking” and others had gone silent in an effort to avoid jail time.

“There were criminal leaks here, criminal leaks, felonious criminal leaks of information.”

During a Monday morning appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Bongino laid out a timeline of events that put Brennan at the center of everything. “Brennan started this whole debacle with Trump. We now know that Brennan had pretty detailed knowledge of the dossier,” he said.

From the very beginning, Bongino said Brennan was central to every step that led to the investigation of President Donald Trump and his campaign and transition team. “I’ll walk you through this real slow. He knows about the dossier. He denies knowledge of the dossier. He briefs the Gang of Eight about the dossier, which they then use to demand the FBI start an investigation into Trump. It is that simple.”

Bongino went on to accuse Brennan and others of essentially “laundering information” by passing the allegations from the dossier through unofficial channels — because if they had gone through official channels, he claimed, they would have had to verify the information and their sources.

Bongino’s Monday morning rant was inspired by Brennan’s attack on President Trump over the possibility of an investigation into the DOJ and the origins of the Russia investigation.
