Fox News’ Tucker Carlson got into a heated debate Thursday with New York’s first undocumented attorney after he claimed “MS-13 is a product of the U.S.”

WATCH:

“I don’t know why I’m taking a lecture on ICE laws from someone who broke our laws to come here,” the Daily Caller co-founder said to the lawyer.

“You’re obviously not bothered by the president’s emphasis on rounding up known members of a murderous street gang, but I bet you are bothered by that, right?” Carlson continued. “Are you one of the animal rights activist who wept when he used the word animal to cry MS-13?”

The lawyer, Cesar Vargas, responded, “I think we should keep our law enforcement safe. Law enforcement has a job to do, whether it’s the NYPD, LAPD, or ICE. They have a job to do.”

“Now, the president is confusing two things,” Vargas continued, “like many things — MS-13 is a product of the U.S. We created MS-13.”

Tucker commented that those statements “are not a fact, it’s a subjective assessment.”
