Trump responded on Twitter:
The Failing and Corrupt @nytimes estimated the crowd last night at “1000 people,” when in fact it was many times that number – and the arena was rockin’. This is the way they demean and disparage. They are very dishonest people who don’t “get” me, and never did!

“The New York Times estimated the crowd size to be about 1,000 people. But the actual size of the crowd was estimated to be over 5,000. The president took to Twitter, calling out the news organization for its inaccurate reporting,” Hamill said.
“Crowd size? That’s like Trump’s number one issue. If you screw up crowd size, he’s coming down on you–hard,” Coglianese added.
