CNN’s Wolf Blitzer had on fellow CNN host Don Lemon and CNN political analyst April Ryan Tuesday to discuss a combative day at the White House.

Ryan yelled questions out of turn at Sarah Sanders, causing Sanders to finally snap at her, saying, “I let you rudely interrupt me and your colleague. I will ask you to allow me to finish my question. I would be happy to answer if you would stop talking long enough to let me do that.” (RELATED: Sarah Sanders Finally Snaps On April Ryan After She Literally Screams Question About NFL Kneelers)

When the clip was played during the segment, Lemon began applauding Ryan’s behavior. “Amen, April. More of that,” Lemon said. Ryan had not been called on to ask a question and was interrupting a colleague.

“I applaud you,” Lemon gushed. “All of the folks in the room should do what April did. Challenge the podium and White House more. They go from one reporter to the other. When they don’t like the answer, they cut them off and move on to the next person. You didn’t allow it.”

Ryan, for her part, said she did not care that Sanders did not want to call on her, she was going to yell her question anyway.

“Strategically, Sarah did not want to call on me today,” Ryan said,  “They never dealt with the issue of police-involved shootings. The reason why the NFL players — the reason why Colin Kaepernick began to take the knee during the Obama years — the reason why it ramped up is because this president found it to be something that his base would like.”

Wolf said that the anthem issue is a “winning issue” for Trump, according to a CNN source.
