Thoroughbred Tenfold is running for a cause in Saturday’s Belmont Stakes — Homes For Our Troops, an organization that designs and builds special-access homes for injured veterans who have served in the U.S. military since the 9/11 attacks.

The 3-year-old thoroughbred’s posted odds are 12-1 — he placed third at the Preakness Stakes — but sponsor Sentient Jet released a statement promising that no matter where Tenfold finishes Saturday, it’s the wounded veterans who are the real winners. (RELATED: Justify May Win A Triple Crown With Soros Backing)

Sentient Jet CEO Andrew Collins explained, “No matter how Tenfold places on June 9th, he will be winning for Veterans everywhere through the awareness and funds he is raising for this noble cause. We are proud to do our part to honor the achievements of both the organization at large and the heroic men and women that it serves.”

The aviation company is also hosting a group of Homes For Our Troops veterans at the track on Saturday, where if Tenfold wins, he would deliver an upset to favorite and Triple Crown contender Justify.
