President Donald Trump is likely to tap former Fox News president Bill Shine as his next director of communications at the White House.

Shine reportedly has been in discussions with Trump about taking the position for several weeks after he was ousted from Fox News in 2017 while the network was dealing with a slew of high profile departures. The departures came amidst allegations of sexual harrassment and financial settlements.
Shine is a close friend of Fox News host Sean Hannity and went golfing with Trump as recently of March 2018. Hannity protested the firing of Shine from Fox News at the time publicly, tweeting:
Somebody HIGH UP AND INSIDE FNC is trying to get an innocent person fired. And Gabe I KNOW WHO it is. Best Sean https://t.co/W3BJ2wjzRD
