Obama’s official White House photographer Pete Souza is known for his storybook-like photos of the former president and first lady. He has also taken to engaging in open, boorish personal attacks on President Trump in his posting of candid images of President Obama. Souza does not hide his opinions of Obama’s predecessor on his Instagram posts, and even some on the left have wondered why the photographer chooses to use private images of Obama to engage in political warfare.
Souza’s post on America’s Independence Day was no exception. Souza posted a photo of the Obamas together looking at the fireworks from the White House with a caption that was a clear slight at Trump, “Happy Fourth of July. Back when…well, you know what I mean.”
The post was ‘liked’ over 120,000 times. Souza then retweeted a Twitter uses who compared the two first couples.
