Speaker of the House Paul Ryan went after the Democrats for calling for the abolition of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency at a press conference Thursday morning.
Speaker Ryan says Democratic calls to abolish ICE is “the craziest position I’ve ever seen.”
“This is the agency that gets gangs out of our communities, that helps prevent drugs from flowing into our schools, that rescues people from human trafficking” https://t.co/FudV7E7f7G pic.twitter.com/PvjKIT0lSz

“This is the agency that gets gangs out of our communities, that helps prevent drugs from flowing into our schools, that rescues people from human trafficking,” he said.
“It’s the craziest position I’ve ever seen,” Speaker Ryan continued. “They’re tripping over themselves to move too far to the left. They are out of the mainstream of America, and that’s one of the reasons why I feel very good about this fall.”
Ryan’s comments come as many Democratic politicians have called for the abolition of ICE. Politicians like Sen. Dick Durbin, Sen. Kamala Harris, and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand have jumped on that bandwagon. It appears that the issue of ICE and immigration reform will be a hot topic going toward the midterm elections. (RELATED: Sen.
