MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough suggested Ivanka Trump is benefiting financially from her father’s dealings with the Chinese government on “Morning Joe” Tuesday and claimed she’s received more product patents as a result of her political position.

“You can talk about the Trump hotel,” Scarborough said. “You can talk about all of the foreign countries and everybody else that are trying to curry favor with Donald Trump by making money, by handing him money.” (RELATED: Joe Scarborough Claims China, Not America Is The Biggest Beneficiary Of Trump’s Election Win)

“You can talk about how — I mean, we’ll go to the list soon, but every time that there’s a moment between China and the United States, it seems that Ivanka gets three or more clearances for patents for her products in China,” he continued.

Scarborough accused President Donald Trump of being hypocritical for criticizing those who monetize the power of their public office and said the entire Trump family has been monetizing the presidency for its own gain.

“I mean, this is — you could write a book on this and I’m sure somebody is writing a book on this, on how much Donald Trump is monetizing the presidency and how much his entire family is monetizing the presidency and most importantly, how much the corrupt Republican Party in Washington, D.C., is helping them monetize the presidency,” he concluded.

Scarborough’s comments come on the same day Page Six announced Ivanka would be closing her fashion company’s doors. Sources told Page Six it would be closed “ASAP,” as business has not been the same since Ivanka left to help her father in the White House.
